In the packaging industry, modern production lines for folding and processing die-cut cartons place high demands on drive components – and therefore require belts capable of exceptional performance.
Line speeds of over 10 m/s are now standard. Absolute precision and reliability are essential, even at production volumes once considered unthinkable. The belts run in guide rails between flanges. Machine design involves frequent flexing and twisting around small-diameter pulleys. When a belt needs to be replaced, installation time is absolutely critical.
RAPPLON QUICKSPLICE belts for carton folding lines are engineered to meet these challenges. They are easy to install and do not require re-tensioning. They track reliably, run very quietly, and show no edge fraying. Fast splicing helps minimize downtime.

Innovative QUICKSPLICE Joining System

In brief: QUICKSPLICE is based on a belt construction prepared for a finger splice, the use of dedicated splicing equipment and adherence to a simple procedure. The result is a high-strength joint with precisely defined geometry and controlled thickness.

These belts are classified by the manufacturer as Folder / Transport belts. They have a thickness of 3 mm and are designed for pulleys with a minimum diameter of 30 mm. The tensile core consists of polyester fabric, while the cover layers are made of grey XNBR rubber with a uniform rough surface finish.
The belts provide excellent grip and are suitable for use in food-industry applications. They comply with relevant EU regulations (EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011) and meet FDA requirements for food-contact materials. They are antistatic.

High-Performance RAPPLON Flat Belts
RAPPLON flat belts are designed for power transmission, process applications, and roller conveyor drives. Their product range is extensive, offering suitable solutions even for highly specific applications. This broad scope is reflected in the wide variety of available designs.
The belt construction is based on a tensile fabric or foil, coated on both sides. Depending on the belt type, the tensile member is made of polyamide, polyester or aramid, or of flexible thermoplastic elastomers or polyurethane.
The cover materials are even more diverse. Available options include natural or synthetic rubber, chrome-tanned leather, and various thermoplastics in a range of surface finishes. Nonwoven surface materials are also available.
Depending on the belt type, RAPPLON belts are joined either by the classic method (skived and adhesive-bonded joint) or by the advanced QUICKSPLICE method.

The origins of RAPPLON flat belt manufacturing date back to the late 1950s.
At that time, Leder & Co. AG began producing modern polyamide drive belts in Rapperswil-Jona, in the canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
The modern production facility is still located there, employing approximately 100 people and covering 2,800 m2 of production space. Since 2000, it has been part of the Ammeraal Beltech Group.
RAPPLON belts proudly carry the Swiss Made designation.
