Bulk, Abrasive and Construction Hoses
Industrial hoses for bulk, abrasive and construction materials are designed for conveying mechanically and, in some cases, chemically aggressive materials. The range includes hoses for pneumatic conveying of bulk materials and high-pressure hoses for pumping concrete and mortar.
These hoses are manufactured from rubber or thermoplastic materials – most commonly specialized SBR compounds, PU, or PVC – with a specifically abrasion-resistant inner layer and reinforcement matched to the required strength and pressure rating. Key selection parameters include the nature and abrasiveness of the material being conveyed, working pressure, inner diameter, and any antistatic requirements.

Typical Applications
Hoses for bulk materials and abrasives are engineered for conveying materials that would cause rapid mechanical – and in some cases chemical – wear of a standard hose’s inner wall.
In construction, they are used for conveying fresh concrete and mortar – for example in shotcrete applications or tunnel construction – as well as for transporting bulk materials such as cement, sand, and gravel. In the mining industry and quarrying, they are used for conveying sand, gravel, coal dust, and other abrasive materials. In agriculture and industrial production, they are used for pneumatic conveying of grain, flour, granules, and animal feed, where antistatic properties are required in addition to abrasion resistance.
