Washdown, Hot Water and Steam Hoses
Industrial hoses for pressure washing, hot water, and steam are used in high-pressure cleaning systems for facilities using cold or hot water, for hot water distribution, and for industrial steam conveyance in demanding applications.
Wash-down, hot water, and steam hoses are manufactured from rubber compounds – most commonly EPDM or NBR – with steel or, in some cases, textile or aramid reinforcement providing resistance to high temperatures and pressures. Key selection parameters include the type of medium, its temperature, working pressure, and inner diameter – these determine the hose’s suitability for a given application and operational safety.

Typical Applications
Hoses for pressure washing, hot water, and steam are used wherever standard water hoses are not sufficient – whether due to pressure, temperature, or specific requirements of the operating environment.
For high-pressure washing and cleaning of industrial facilities, machinery, vehicles, and process equipment, hoses rated for pressures in the range of 1,500 to 6,000 PSI are used. In hot water applications – such as paint shops, auto repair facilities, molds, presses, and process lines – hot water hoses rated to approximately 150 °C are used, depending on the hose type and operating conditions. In the chemical industry, refineries, steel mills, and shipyards, steam hoses are used for pipe tracing, tank cleaning, defrosting, and industrial processes requiring the transfer of saturated steam at temperatures up to 210 °C.
