Automotive V-Ribbed Belts
Automotive V-ribbed belts are used to drive auxiliary engine components in motor vehicles – from passenger cars, vans and trucks to buses and agricultural tractors.
CONTI MULTI V-BELT Automotive
Automotive V-ribbed belts in PJ, PK, and DPK profiles designed to drive auxiliary engine components in motor vehicles.
BANDO RIB ACE Automotive
Automotive V-ribbed belts in PK profile designed to drive auxiliary engine components in motor vehicles.
Belt Construction
- EPDM synthetic rubber ribs
- Embedding compound
- Polyester tension member
- Polyamide cover fabric
Typical Applications
Automotive V-ribbed belts are mainly used for driving auxiliary units in both petrol and diesel engines. Typical applications include the drive of alternators, air-conditioning compressors, power steering pumps, or water pumps.
They are suitable for permanently high belt speeds, dynamically changing loads, and long service intervals in modern passenger cars, vans, and trucks, as well as buses and tractors.
Properties
- High power transmission and high belt speeds
- High service life, low maintenance costs
- EPDM construction with minimal loss of elasticity over lifetime
- Stable belt tension and minimal slip
- Compact drive layouts with tensioning pulleys (serpentine routing)
- Temperature resistance from −40 °C to +120 °C
- Oil and chemical resistance
