Roller Chains with Hollow Pins
Roller chains with hollow pins are a special type of chain that combines driving and conveying functions. They are based on the standard construction of roller chains according to ISO 606 (DIN 8187 and DIN 8188), but with one key difference: each pin is hollow.
The hollow pins run through the entire width of the link and allow easy attachment of accessories – bolts, shafts, cross rods, or special carriers can be inserted through them.
The chains are available in different design versions – as bush chains without rollers (Type A), in the standard design with pins, bushes and rollers (Type B), or with rollers but without bushes (Type C). They are made of steel, and in some cases of stainless steel (SS).
The standard version is simplex, but on request the chains can also be supplied in duplex design.

Typical Applications
Hollow pin chains based on ISO 606 are intended primarily for conveying and handling applications where system flexibility and modularity are required.
They are most commonly used in smaller conveyors, typically in pairs as parallel chains connected by cross rods or other suitable attachments. They are also employed in packaging and filling machines, in the food and automotive industries, in woodworking lines, and in a wide range of special applications.
