12B-2-SS KettenWulf SS Straight Connecting Link (Stainless Steel, 3/4” × 7/16”, DIN 8187)
Roller Chain

High-alloy steel with increased resistance to chemical and electrochemical corrosion.
Suitable especially for the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, demanding operating conditions and the outdoor environment, but also for all applications where the use of corrosion-resistant materials is required by law.

Chain Description
12B-2-SS KettenWulf SS Straight Connecting Link (Stainless Steel, 3/4” × 7/16”, DIN 8187) is intended for 12B-2 duplex stainless steel drive chains, which are standardized according to ISO 606 (DIN 8187), meaning they belong to the European B-series.
The chain consists of outer links with pins and inner links with bushes, on which freely rotating rollers are mounted. The chain is made of stainless steel.
KettenWulf SS
The stainless steel used in KettenWulf SS chains offers excellent protection against humidity, aggressive substances, and temperature extremes.
This makes them ideal for use in the food and chemical industries. However, the trade-off is lower mechanical strength and load capacity. Stainless steel chains are not hardened, and thus not suitable for high-load drives. For such applications, we recommend the KettenWulf NP series or the top-tier KettenWulf TGI.
All components of KettenWulf SS chains – pins, bushes, rollers, and plates – are made from stainless steel grade 1.4301 (AISI 304). They are suitable for both acidic and alkaline environments and offer a broader operating temperature range than conventional chains.
The chains are supplied with a dry surface (without initial lubrication). Upon request, they can be delivered with a food-grade lubricant compliant with FDA H1 and H2 standards.

Chain Fields of Use
12B-2 stainless steel roller chains according to DIN 8187 are intended for special applications in cases where a stainless steel design is required. They are used in food processing facilities, environments with increased humidity, wet conditions, with various chemicals, or when operating conditions do not allow the use of standard steel roller chains.
They are most commonly used as drive chains, but can also be fitted with carriers or other auxiliary elements for material handling and lifting applications.
