10A / ASA 50 Roller Chains According to DIN 8188
10A / ASA 50 roller chains (5/8″ × 3/8″) are among the most common drive chains. They are standardized according to ISO 606 (DIN 8188, ANSI B29.1), meaning they belong to the American A-series.
The chains consist of outer links with pins and inner links with bushes, on which freely rotating rollers are mounted. The chains are made of steel. The exact grade of steel, production method and heat treatment of the steel of the individual parts vary by chain type, size and manufacturer.
The standard design of 10A / ASA 50 chains includes simplex, duplex and triplex variants.
