Stainless Steel Roller Chains According to DIN 8188
A-series stainless steel roller and bush chains are a special type of drive chains. They have the same dimensions as standard roller chains according to ISO 606 (DIN 8188, ANSI B29.1), meaning they belong to the American A-series.
The chains consist of outer links with pins and inner links with bushes, on which freely rotating rollers are mounted. The chains are made of stainless steel. The exact stainless steel type varies by chain type, size and manufacturer.
The standard design of A-series stainless steel chains includes simplex and duplex variants.
High-alloy steel with increased resistance to chemical and electrochemical corrosion.
Suitable especially for the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, demanding operating conditions and the outdoor environment, but also for all applications where the use of corrosion-resistant materials is required by law.
04C / ASA 25 (1/4″ × 1/8″)
High-alloy steel with increased resistance to chemical and electrochemical corrosion.
Suitable especially for the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, demanding operating conditions and the outdoor environment, but also for all applications where the use of corrosion-resistant materials is required by law.
06C / ASA 35 (3/8″ × 3/16″)
High-alloy steel with increased resistance to chemical and electrochemical corrosion.
Suitable especially for the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, demanding operating conditions and the outdoor environment, but also for all applications where the use of corrosion-resistant materials is required by law.
08A / ASA 40 (1/2″ × 5/16″)

KettenWulf Now Our Main Roller Chain Brand – KÖBO in Final Stock
After more than 15 years of offering standard roller chains from the German brand KÖBO, we have decided to discontinue their availability as of April 2025. Remaining stock will be sold off, and no further orders will be possible. These chains are being replaced by products from another German manufacturer – KettenWulf.
Why the change? In recent years, KÖBO has focused on heavy-duty conveyor chains for specialised applications and no longer offers a sufficient range or delivery flexibility in the field of standard roller chains.
KettenWulf roller chains meet the high demands of customers across all areas of application. They offer consistent quality, high load capacity, long service life and, last but not least, a reasonable price – everything you expect from a reliable solution.

Chains Fields of Use
A-series stainless steel roller chains according to DIN 8188 are intended for special applications in cases where a stainless steel design is required. They are used in food processing facilities, environments with increased humidity, wet conditions, with various chemicals, or when operating conditions do not allow the use of standard steel roller chains.
They are most commonly used as drive chains, but can also be fitted with carriers or other auxiliary elements for material handling and lifting applications.
Chains Material
Stainless steel.
