CONTI SYNCHROFORCE Timing Belts
CONTI SYNCHROFORCE timing belts in HTD, STD and CTD profiles are designed for power transmission across a wide performance range. They are antistatic in compliance with ISO 9563.
The belts are manufactured from EPDM rubber with excellent temperature resistance; the highest-performance series are made from exceptionally durable HNBR. Glass, aramid or carbon tensile cords are used as the tension member.
New EPDM rubber CONTI SYNCHROFORCE belts replace the former chloroprene rubber (CR) product ranges in the ContiTech portfolio – CONTI SYNCHROBELT and CONTI SYNCHROFORCE CXP/CXA.

New EPDM Generation of CONTI SYNCHROFORCE Belts Replacing Chloroprene Rubber (CR) Belts
This represents a major technological step forward, delivering significant improvements in key performance characteristics of drive belts – higher temperature resistance, longer service life, reduced environmental impact, and cleaner operation.
The belts feature a new imprint design which, like the designation of the performance classes, follows the principles defined within the Continental CONTINUITY project.
Production of the previous-generation CONTI SYNCHROBELT and CONTI SYNCHROFORCE CXP/CXA belts was discontinued at the end of 2025. Items currently in stock will continue to be available in our online store while supplies last.
The new CONTI SYNCHROFORCE belts retain exactly the same dimensions (pitch, length, and profile) as their predecessors and can therefore replace them smoothly and without concern.
The highest-performance SYNCHROFORCE belts made of HNBR – CONTI SYNCHROFORCE CARBON and EXTREME – remain unchanged.
Belt Construction
- Protective low-friction polyamide fabric
- Teeth made of EPDM rubber (aramid-fiber reinforced EPDM rubber in ADVANCE and ADVANCE PRO series)
- Aramid-cord tension member (in ADVANCE PRO series)
- Glass-cord tension member (in STANDARD and ADVANCE series)
- Backing made of EPDM rubber (aramid-fiber reinforced EPDM rubber in ADVANCE and ADVANCE PRO series)
Typical Applications
CONTI SYNCHROFORCE timing belts are used in a wide range of industrial applications, from compact drives to demanding industrial systems and heavily loaded power transmissions.
Depending on the performance series, they are used in domestic and professional equipment, garden machinery, the automotive industry, machine tools, printing and textile machinery, compressors, generators, conveyor systems, and many other types of machinery across all sectors.
Thanks to the improved temperature resistance provided by the advanced EPDM compound, even broader use cases are enabled.

Notice
General factory certificates are not sufficient for belts used in potentially explosive atmospheres.
If a test report according to ISO 1813 and ISO 9563 is required for the application, it is necessary to inform us of the request for delivery of belts including the certificate when ordering them (when ordering belts via Eshop, please write this request in the "Note" field before by sending the order). The certificate is issued by ContiTech after the test in the production plant.
