Belt Tension Gauges
Belt tension gauges are mechanical or electronic devices for setting or checking proper belt tension. It is performed at rest with the transmission stopped.
The most accurate setting of the belt pretension is done by setting the correct oscillation frequency of the free span of belt. Some belts can be checked and pre-tensioned by measuring the free span deflection.
Proper preload of belt drives is a prerequisite for trouble-free operation and long service life.
