Instrument Description
Belt tension gauges are mechanical or electronic devices for setting or checking proper belt tension. It is performed at rest with the transmission stopped.
The most accurate setting of the belt pretension is done by setting the correct oscillation frequency of the free span of belt. Some belts can be checked and pre-tensioned by measuring the free span deflection.
Proper preload of belt drives is a prerequisite for trouble-free operation and long service life.
Instrument Fields of Use
Belt pretension gauges are designed to measure pretension during assembly and operation of timing belts, poly-V-belts, V-belts, and flat belts. With these gauges, we can easily and accurately set the static force in the drive belt span with any tensile fiber.
